About Women With A Purpose
The Women’s ministry, “Women With A Purpose”, at Focus International Christian Centre (FICC), is driven by a passionate desire to elevate, encourage, empower, and disciple women of all ages to enable them to discover and reach their God-given potential. As Proverbs 31:25 says, "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come." We believe in sharpening one another as Proverbs 27:17 states, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." The ministry offers women numerous opportunities through events, workshops, programs, and outreaches to equip them for service, build them up spiritually, and empower them to impact the world for Jesus with the help of the Holy Spirit. By the grace of God, the ministry has transformed many women's lives and helped shape their characters through the Word of God. The women's ministry aims to enrich women's lives spiritually, physically, socially, materially, and otherwise. We focus on renewing and strengthening women’s lives and, more significantly, re-birthing the lives of those who have experienced disappointment and are downtrodden due to life’s challenges.
Some of our events and activities include
Making A Difference Women's Conference
Our three-day annual event attracts women from all walks of life and is usually held at the end of May. We feature renowned guest speakers and anointed women of God who minister with the power of God to heal, deliver, transform, and set women free to live out their God-given purpose.
Shiloh Prayer Conference
Our one-day annual event is a time for women to bask in divine encounters and have a refreshing time in God's presence. During this time, we soak in love, prayers, and are reawakened to the presence of God in our lives as we wait on Him and renew our strength.
Monthly Breakfast Meetings and Prayer Meetings
We hold these meetings once a month on a Saturday morning. This is a time for us to come together as women to pray, worship, study God's word, and also interact in an atmosphere of love and fellowship. These meetings are open to women of all ages and backgrounds, both within and outside the Church. During these meetings, we also learn different topics and skills from one another.
Mothers Connect and Mothers Connect Plus
This is an arm of our women's ministry aimed primarily at mothers and expectant mothers in our midst. Our meetings are held quarterly with the sole aim of connecting, engaging, and sharing helpful tips, ideas, practices, and prayers concerning the home front and all that correlates with womanhood, motherhood, and feminine development according to the Holy Bible.
